Contact data of personnel engaged in Erasmus functionality and support

ATEITH is continuously expanding its organisation and the functional units and personnel dealing with Erasmus programme. Below you can find the major organisational units and their responsibilities.

The main unit dealing with Erasmus programme in ATEITH is the International Relations Office which is responsible for all the centralized tasks, i.e. applications, financial procedures, reports, contacts with the National Agency, etc. The Office ensures that all exchange students receive the support and information they need as well as accommodation matters. All these are provided via email, web, phone, direct contact, and by liaising with the departments both on an ad-hoc and formal basis. The mission of the office is:

  • To initiate, evaluate, develop and maintain relationships with partner institutions within EU and worldwide.
  • To collect and publish information about international programmes and projects in higher education.
  • To promote and encourage the mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • To assist, administrate and supervise the mobility processes.
  • To advise and support the international initiatives and activities of the Institute's departments and organisational units.
  • To cooperate closely with the local Volunteer Student Group in order to support the adaptation and embodiment of incoming students

The Institutional Erasmus Coordinator is the official representative and responsible for Erasmus programme.

The Institutional Erasmus Committee consists of the following members: The Institutional Erasmus Coordinator, three Departmental Coordinators and a representative from the International Relations Office. Its major tasks are:

  • To organize the institutional policy and the development strategy for the Erasmus programme.
  • To define new or reform existing procedures of ATEITH so that to comply with EU regulations and recommendations concerning the programme.
  • To set the criteria for the selection of participating students and staff.
  • To strengthen actions towards the quality upgrade of the programme. by defining new or reforming existing procedures.
  • To organize the evaluation procedures of the programme and the dissemination of results, in order to highlight Best Practices.

The Departmental Erasmus Coordinators are the primary contact persons for departmental relations within Erasmus programme. They are responsible for the following tasks:

  • To provide support for development and renewal of bilateral agreement relations, to prepare and sign learning agreements.
  • To provide information on all studies currently offered and the ECTS, to take care of didactic matters in case of incoming and outgoing Erasmus students and offer academic advice to outgoing students.
  • To assist with applications, pre-departure briefings and the continued support of exchange students.
  • To prepare and sign the learning agreement before the departure of Erasmus students, and to send an academic transcript to the student's home institution as necessary detailing courses taken, credits and marks awarded.

The Departmental Erasmus Mentors are academic personnel aiming to help you with all the issues relevant to exchange students' academic life and personal problems that may arise during their stay, including everyday life and integration with Greek students.

Finally, the particularly active Local Volunteer Student Group, i.e. ESN ATEI Thessaloniki is always there for incoming students to make their stay and everyday life in or out ATEITH an easier, richer and overall wonderful experience.
